- 20+ years experience in genealogical and historical research
- 5 years teaching History coursework at the college level
- Former proprietor of Northeast Alabama Roots Research Services; client work encompassed on-site courthouse and library research in the counties of Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Jackson, Marshall, Randolph, Talladega, Tallapoosa, and St. Clair, as well as the western Georgia counties of Carroll, Cobb, Floyd, Haralson, Heard, Pike, Polk, Troup, and Upson
- Land title abstractor in Florida; worked as an independent contractor and conducted on-site research to compile land title abstracts for title companies; research encompassed the counties of Alachua, Baker, Citrus, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Marion, Putnam, Suwannee, and Union
- Presented lectures on an array of genealogical and historical topics
